Not just drugs, not just training...
Problematic drug use is just behaviour that is really difficult to change. DrugTrain are good at helping people to change difficult behaviour. That's why some folks have asked us to run courses that aren't really anything to do with drugs or drug users - but they want to know how to shift difficult behaviour. We have run sessions for nurses in how to motivate diabetic patients to stick to their diet and we have run courses for managers in how to manage difficult employees.
Sometimes its not training that is needed but more facilitating a group of staff to change the way they do things or the way they get along together. We have offered team building sessions, awaydays and consultancy for all sorts of organisations including those in the education sector, those working with people with learning disablities and even a Vet's Practice! We enjoyed that one - it was the first time we'd run an event where the group included 2 labradors, a collie and a very bossy cat!
We also provide coaching, mentoring and supervision services to drugs services. We have put packages together for services that include supervision groups for staff to focus on developing their Psychosocial Interventions and mentoring for managers.
